And so begins another season under our dome of shrink wrap, living the life afloat aboard Monster for our fourth winter. The sun was shining, and the sky was blue as could be as we wrapped up Monster, with the gracious help of J. Thanks so much J! While there’s still a few finishing touches to be completed we are happy to be ready for the weather to come. Who are we kidding, it’s December now, and we have had our share of glorious weather. This morning there was a light dusting of snow. Not the first snow we’ve had this season, but enough to signal that old man winter is truly on his way. There is 10 cm of the white fluffy stuff expected this weekend too.
Wrapping up the boat in her plastic shroud speaks to me metaphorically this season, and I’ve never felt this way before. I am quite content to wrap up this year of 2016. It was not the year we anticipated, there were high hopes, and then we experienced a serious knock down. That’s ok. We got up, trimmed our sheets in tight and carried on. Stronger, more focused and commited than ever to the lifestyle we live, to our Son, to Monster. We certainly had some highlights too… Our trip to Lunenburg was unforgettable!
We also added some Christmas lights this year! What do you think?
Please stand by for more Christmas details and pictures from aboard the good ship
