Muster Midships!

The other afternoon I had the pleasure of visiting Gordon while he was working nearby aboard the Empire Sandy. It was a sunny, snowy afternoon. There’s certainly a sense of romance in the air when one walks around a tall ship, particularly when she’s blanketed in snow.

I was just 18 when I first sailed upon the Empire Sandy, it was my high school prom. Since then well, she’s held a special place in my heart. As the First Mate, I meet my Husband aboard, we were married aboard, my baby shower was aboard, and well, as the song goes, I can check out whenever I like, but I can never really leave…
